The Greater London Authority Act 2007 (Commencement No.2) Order 2008
Article 2 of this Order brings into force on 21st January 2008, the following provisions of the Greater London Authority Act 2007 in so far as they are not already in force—Part 1 (general functions of the authority);Part 2 (transport);Part 3 (the London Development Agency);Part 4 (health);Part 5 (the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority);section 29 (planning - duties in relation to consultation);section 37 (duties of waste collection authorities etc) and section 39 (information about waste contracts);sections 40 to 44 (climate change and energy);section 50 (Mayor’s culture strategy: consultation;Schedule 1 (confirmation hearings etc); andsection 57 and Schedule 2 (consequential repeals in the Greater London Authority Act 1999 and the Railways Act 2005).
