Northern Ireland Statutory Rule
The Planning (Inquiry Procedure) Rules (Northern Ireland) 2006
Article 123(1) of the Planning (Northern Ireland) Order 1991 provides that the Department of the Environment (the Department) may cause a public local inquiry to be held for the purpose of the exercise of any of its functions under that Order and Article 123(2) provides that the Department may make rules to regulate the procedures to be followed in connection with inquiries held by or on behalf of the Department.
