The Local Government Act 1999 (Commencement No. 3) (England) Order 2000
This Order brings into force on 3rd July 2000, those provisions in Part I of the Local Government Act 1999 (Best Value) which are not already in force. These are the provisions which make the Greater London Authority (GLA) and its functional bodies best value authorities for the purposes of that Part. The GLA’s functional bodies are the London Fire and Emergency Planning Authority, Transport for London, the London Development Agency and the Metropolitan Police Authority.
