This Order provides for the coming into operation on 15th May 2012 of sections 4(b), 5, 8 and 13 of the Building Regulations (Amendment) Act (Northern Ireland) 2009 (the 2009 Act).

Northern Ireland Statutory Rule
The Planning Act (Northern Ireland) 2011 empowers a council to make simplified planning zone schemes. Such a scheme provides planning permission within the area covered by the scheme for development in accordance with the scheme without the need for specific application.

Scottish Statutory Instrument
This Order makes supplementary, incidental or consequential changes to the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 (“the 1997 Act”), the Planning (Listed Buildings and Conservation Areas) (Scotland) Act 1997, the Licensing (Scotland) Act 2005 and the Planning etc. (Scotland) Act 2006 (“the 2006 Act”) for the purposes of, in consequence of or in order to give full effect to the provisions of the 2006 Act.

Scottish Statutory Instrument
These Regulations amend the Town and Country Planning (Fees for Applications and Deemed Applications) (Scotland) Regulations 1997 (“the principal Regulations”), which make provision for the payment of fees to planning authorities in respect of—applications made under Part III of the Town and Country Planning (Scotland) Act 1997 for planning permission for development or for approval of matters reserved by an outline planning permission and in respect of applications for consent for the display of advertisements;applications for planning permission which are deemed to have been made, by virtue of the provisions of section 133(7) of the 1997 Act, in connection with an appeal against an enforcement notice; andapplications for certificates of lawful use or development made under sections 150(1) and 151(1) of the 1997 Act.
